Vampire Weekend set summer Houston date – Chron

Not quite a road warrior type band, Vampire Weekend hasn’t played Houston in five years, when the group was one of the headliners at the now deceased Free Press Summer Festival. But the band has set an Aug. 17 date at White Oak Music Hall on its Father of the Bride Tour.

Tickets go on sale at noon on Feb. 8 through Live Nation. Registration for a verified fan presale offers an earlier opportunity for tickets. Click here to register. That presale begins at 10 a.m. Feb. 5.

Online tickets come with a physical CD copy of the band’s fourth album, “Father of the Bride.” The group has already released a pair of songs from the album: “Harmony Hall” and “2021.” The album will be released this spring.
