Parents: Have a fun date night on the town while your child (ages 5 and up) enjoy an evening of food, Italian language and culture, literature and film.
We will make:
* Pinocchio’s fresh fruit and vegetable skewers with turquoise fairy goddess dipping sauce, gypsy’s baguette.
* Stromboli (pizza rolls) stuffed with gypsy’s fillings of choice (provolone, mozzarella, prosciutto, salami, hard boiled egg, olives, pepperoni, roasted sweet and mild red bell pepper, etc)
*Roasted finocchio (fennel), radishes and potatoes.
*Jiminy cricket pistacchio cannoli
Parents drop off at 4:30, children have snack, engage in a hands on cooking class of all of the above, with excerpts read from “Pinocchio” as they pertain to the menu, and then watch the film “Pinocchio” while they enjoy dessert. Children will learn some basic words and phrases in Italian as they pertain to the menu, literature, and film.
